Dunn’s River Falls Tour from Falmouth

Along the way, you will pass through beautiful sceneries, towns and villages. You will also visit the only open air museum in Jamaica; this is the place where Christopher Columbus landed in 1494.
Upon arrival at the magnificent Dunn’s River Falls, you will agree that it was worth the drive. See this spectacular 600 ft. elevated waterfall, cascading along the rocky but smooth course, emptying into the Blue Caribbean Sea. For the adventurous, with or without the help of a guide, you will enjoy an exhilarating climb to the top. Do not forget your bathing suit!
Water shoes are required for this climb and are available for rental; if you do not bring your own.

This excursion culminates with shopping in the heart of Ocho Rios where you have the opportunity to explore the local craft markets and duty free shopping centers; after which you’ll journey back to the ship.

River Tubing, Dunns River Falls & Ocho Rios highlight from Falmouth
This tour takes you to the spectacular Start Dunn’s River Falls. See this spectacular elevated 600 ft. waterfall cascading along the rocky but smooth course emptying into the Blue Caribbean Sea. For the adventurous, with or without the help of a guide, you will enjoy an exhilarating climb to the top. Do not forget your bathing suit! A path parallel to the falls, enable non-climbers to walk along the side and take pictures of this magnificent site.
After the falls, get your adrenaline going by River Tubing on the "White River". You will float effortlessly down the river with your guide, stop mid way for a “splash” and/or swing across the river on ropes. Your driver/guide will pick you up at the conclusion of your adventure then you will have the opportunity to stop at the duty free centre and the craft market (optional) before returning to the ship.

Montego Bay highligh tour from Falmouth
From your cruise ship's pier terminal, begin your tour west of Falmouth with a scenic drive pass the most famous and visited Great house in Jamaica, the Rose Hall.
Built in the 1700s, it is the largest "Great House" in the Caribbean. Your guide will give you a taste of Jamaica's history including legends of Rose Hall and its owner, the notorious Witch, Annie Palmer. It is said she still haunts the house to this day. You will learn how Annie’s three husbands met their death under mysterious circumstances.
Later, travel to the outskirt of the city through the beautiful Ironshore community. This adventure takes you in the hills for a panoramic, breath taking view of the city. There you may take pictures of Montego Bay and its surroundings as well as your cruise ship in port.
Your adventure includes a drive through the city of Montego Bay, its historical square and the down town area. Visit one of the local restaurants and taste the authentic Jamaican jerk chicken (shopping and beach optional) before returning to your ship.

The Mayfield Falls adventure from Falmouth
This adventure takes you west of Montego Bay through towns and villages, Cockpit Country's rain forest and to Mayfield. The friendly staff of Mayfield Falls will show you natural herbs and spices used for preparing tasty Jamaican food.
You will be guided to the water falls for various activities including hiking, cliff jumping, cave diving and swimming.
After the falls, you will be taken to Montego Bay for lunch at one of the local restaurants where you can "experiment" with authentic Jamaican jerk chicken.
The excursion continues through the down town areas and the historical Sam Sharp square, your guide will give you a taste of history before taking you back to your cruise ship.

Bob Marley Reggae Tour
Travel through the hills and curves of the "Garden Parish", St. Ann, to a town named Nine Miles. This little village is tucked away in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann, Jamaica. Nine miles is the birth place of legendary “King of Reggae”, Bob Marley. It is also the place he was laid to rest.
The tour starts with a walk through his home as a young boy; which is now a museum and photo gallery. Your guide will reveal little known insights into Bob Marley’s childhood and musical career. You will also have the chance to stand on “Mt. Zion Rock” (Bob’s meditation spot) and rest you head on the “pillow” (made famous in the song “Talking Blues”). The Highlight of the tour is walking through the beautiful mausoleum, Bob’s final resting place.
Cost: $75 per adult, $65 child 11 years under. Entrance fee included, estimated time 5 ½ hours.

Green Grotto Caves and Dunns River Falls
If you are looking for something different…a touch of adventure, a journey into the underground of the nostalgia of history…You will want to experience the Green Grotto Caves. Leave the cruise ship pier or hotel in fully air-conditions bus, you will travel through towns and villages as your driver/guide explain to you the sceneries on your adventure.
Ideally located on Jamaica’s North Coast, the Green Grotto Caves and Attractions are linked to the Island history and are major natural attractions for both local visitors and tourists who crave adventure.
Previously known as the Runaway, Dairy, Rum, Hopewell and Dry Harbour Caves, the Green Grotto Caves are said to have provided shelter for Jamaica’s first inhabitants, the Tino Indians. These caves, which are just over 3 km from the spot at which Christopher Columbus landed in 1494, were sought after as hideouts by the Spanish during the takeover of the Island by the English in 1655. They were a haven for runaway slaves in the 18th Century. In the two World Wars, they were used by smugglers running from Cuba. In more recent times, sections of the Caves were used for rum storage.
